Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Hello Lakewood families! 🍂

As the holiday season begins to sparkle around us, this week (December 1–7) brings cozy indoor events, arts & culture offerings, and the first stirrings of festive lights and community gatherings around town. Here’s what’s coming up for us in Lakewood.

Meet Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Lakewood — the salon that turns “haircut day” into something kids actually get excited about. Located in Lakewood City Commons on Wadsworth, it’s a bright, kid-focused space built to make life easier for parents.

What makes Cookie Cutters special:

  • Made for kids. Fun car chairs, a toddler playground, and cartoons at every station keep little ones happy and calm.

  • Fast, great cuts. Experienced stylists deliver cute, consistent cuts — even for wiggly toddlers and first-timers.

  • A happy finish. Every child leaves with a balloon, a lollipop, and a big smile.

Why Lakewood families love it:
Cookie Cutters isn’t just a haircut spot — it’s a stress-free, joy-filled experience that fits real family life. Parents get efficiency, kids get fun, and everyone leaves feeling great.

📅 Family Events Rundown

      • Lakewood Cultural Center (LCC) Presents The Broadway Hollywood Holiday Songbook — On Wednesday, December 3, the LCC will host this festive concert, perfect for families who enjoy holiday classics on stage.

      • Light Up the Night for Colorado Gives Day – Drive-In Laser Show — On Tuesday, December 2, families can enjoy a drive-in light show at Jeffco Stadium.

      • Women of Asphalt CO Christmas Party — A community gathering on Thursday, December 4 at 11500 W Hampden Ave. May be more adult-centered but could be of interest depending on your household.

Tip: Keep an eye on the official city calendar — more events or holiday-themed activities may pop up as local organizations roll out December plans.

🕰️ Lakewood History Corner

A fun local piece of history to remember: the Lakewood Cultural Center itself (where you might be seeing holiday concerts this week) has been a hub for community arts and performances since it opened in 2000.
